INDA student won a global competition: The 12th Asian Contest of Architectural Rookie's Award (ACARA 2023), Taipei, Taiwan.

The Faculty of Architecture at Chulalongkorn University proudly congratulates Nada Ruengchinda, a second-year student in the International Program (INDA), for winning third runner-up in the 12th Asian Contest of Architectural Rookie's Award (ACARA 2023) with the project "Prairie Motion." The competition, organized by the Asia United Architecture Association (AUA) and themed 'Naturally Circular,' aims to enhance architectural education by fostering creativity and goodwill.

"Naturally Circular" architecture, inspired by nature's closed-loop systems, emphasizes disassembly and reusability, transforming buildings into modular components within a material cycle. This approach minimizes waste, maximizes resource use, and promotes a sustainable, regenerative built environment.

The Prairie Motion observation tower offers immersive experiences inspired by the connection between creatures and nature, highlighting human and animal environmental adaptations. The design encourages environmental appreciation and experimentation, using biomaterials like bioplastic for a dissolvable facade to minimize disruption.

The pavilion blends nature and human ingenuity with a bamboo frame and a design inspired by a duck's skeleton. Its facade features net and linear patterns for light and strength. Eco-friendly bioplastics made from gelatin and agar adhere to the bamboo frame, showcasing a sustainable and innovative approach to architecture.

We warmly congratulate Nada Ruengchinda on this outstanding accomplishment.
